okay okay so after almost a year of disappearing I'm back! This past year has been CRAZY watching our little Haylee grow up! I CANT BELIEVE SHE'S ONE!! walking and repeating we love her dearly, and yes, even her spurts of energy that come and go! She is such a little daredevil! Carsen is getting so big as well! her sentences are becoming longer and her vocabulary has grown enormous. I love each day I have to spend with my girls watching them grow and learn new things. Carsen started pre-school and loves all of her friends and teachers. She looks forward to "high-school" as she calls it each and every chance she gets to go! Next September she will be enrolled in 4-K program and she will love that just as much!
I've started an unofficial business for my photography and I love the chances I get to photograph people and their kids. Its name, From Bumps 2 Tots came about after I figured what I loved to take pictures of for the most part. From the time I was first pregnant with both girls I loved my belly and couldnt get enough of how cool it was that there was someone living in there! My girls have probably had enough but they are my ginnea pigs when it comes to a new background or a new photoshoot location. I have recently just started an interest in portrait shots as well as families. Right now I'm looking to gain experience so that I can make it an official business in the future. I'm pretty excited about where this can take me.
To add to the excitement I have accepted a job offer working as a DSP (direct support professional) for a local home with residents that have developmental disabilities. I have wanted a job in the field since I worked with autistic high school/elementary students while I was a junior/senior in High School. What is a DSP? Per wikipedia the definition:
A direct support professional is a person who assists an individual with a developmental disability to lead a self-directed life and contribute to the community, assists with activities of daily living if needed, and encourages attitudes and behaviors that enhance community inclusion. A DSP may provide supports to a person with a disability at home, work, school, church, and other community places. A DSP also acts as an advocate for the disabled individual, in communicating their needs, self expression and goals.
In simple terms my job will be to go to the house in the mornings, wake up the residents, bathe them, medicate them if needed, cook for them, as well as many other things. Most would say its like being a CNA (certified nursing assistant).
SO as you can tell, there are many things going on I should hopefully have no trouble updating all of you on what is going on in my life!

Hay Baby [update]
Well, Haylee went to see her Dr. this afternoon with daddy. They say she has no signs of phnemonia to them but they did a chest X-ray. [1st X-ray, that's one for the baby book] I guess she didn't like the nurse much while they had to hold her up for the X-ray, daddy had to help. She turned her head for the 1st one which moved her spine. We are just waiting for the call about what they find, if anything. I wish it was easier to get some answers on why shes in so much pain and sounds miserable! I will update you again once we know for sure what is going on.
[[[RECENT UPDATE]]]
Haylee has bronchitis. I may be no Dr. , just a caring loving mommy but i sure as heck know when to tell my child has more then just an ear infection!

Hay baby
So. My first and not last rant ...here goes! For the last 3 weeks Haylee has been having some crazy coughing going on. we finally broke down and took her into urgent care last friday where they diagnosed her with an ear infection. Totally not what i thought it was because most of her symptoms were that of RSV [baby phnemonia]. The nurse seemed to have second thoughts on how her lungs sounded but the Dr. said they were fine and sounded clear. Saturday, early morning, Haylee wakes up and could hardly cry because her throat was so swollen and she couldn't eat! Just holding her I could feel and hear crackling in her chest, mostly in her back around her ribs/lung area. You can't tell me that there wasnt atleast SOME sign of this when he had her in the hospital not even 8 hours earlier. When you go to urgent care in this town you will get one of two answers, "looks like you have an ear infection, take some amoxicillon for about 10 days until it is gone" OR "you are fine I see nothing that should be too much of a serious concern".... now, Dr's SHOULD be spending more than 5 minutes with their patients no matter who they are how young they are and what they think they have. My poor baby girl goes in to see her primary Dr. tomorrow and hopefully we will get some REAL answers. Isnt it amazing what Dr's get paid for these days???
HEY THERE!
Just a little about me. 23 years old and a mother of two amazing girls; Haylee Mae, 4 months, and Carsen Jo, 2 and 1/2 years. Life gets pretty hectic around this house but i wouldn't change it for anything! I miss the get up and go days but I love being busy with the girls. I love photography but lately all of my focus has been towards my girls so you may find quite a few pictures of them thruout my posts. I have a wonderful boyfriend, Mickey, who has been there for me thru so much in the past year. I look back 15 months ago and can't imagine how life would be if a mutual friend hadn't introduced us. I am truely blessed to have him in my life, as sappy as that sounds but I mean it! Now, onto a little bit about the girls.
Haylee grows like a little weed everyday, sometimes to the point I would swear she is going to catch up to her big sister. She recently graduated from the swing to the excersaucer and loves it! She rolled over from her belly to her back a couple weeks ago too!! She may be my second baby girl but I still get just as excited as I did when Carsen was doing all of the same things. I can't wait to see how different and alike they are as she gets bigger.
Carsen is my little JoJo and she's quite the firecracker. Full of energy and always making people laugh. She recently has started working on learning her ABC's. Still trying to find time for potty training. YIKES is all I can say about that. Carsen is a little sponge as well [we really have to watch what we say and do around here!!] I swear every week she adds atleast 10 new words to her vocabulary. I love that she actually understands what I am saying most of the time now and can respond in sentences that actually make sense.
Last but not least we have a dog! His name is Buddy and he completes our little family.
Life doesnt get much better then this!
